Microbial Re-sequencing

Microbial genome resequencing mainly refers to the resequencing of the genome of bacteria or fungi. The principle is to perform high-throughput sequencing based on small fragment libraries, and then compare the sequencing data with the close reference genome to obtain the SNP, InDel, SV and other variation information of the strain and the reference genome. Microbial resequencing can rapidly resolve the variation information among strains for studies on species evolution, population characteristics and selection pressure.

  • Bacterial powder > 1 g, bacterial fluid > 5 mL.
  • Fungal DNA ≥ 3 μg, concentration ≥ 20 ng/μL.
  • Fungal tissue >1 g.
  • Electrophoresis requirements: clear main band, no degradation.
  • Try to provide larger amounts, the yield of DNA extraction varies among species.
